Mrs. C is a Rockstar with her new Smart Panel! She is making this virtual learning look smooth. The MES staff members are the best in the business!
We are ready at MES with our sanitizing stations and social distancing signage. Looking forward to seeing Cohort B students tomorrow!!
Day 2....technology is working with us! Rocking and rolling with our new Smart Panels. This is GREAT! 3rd grade Google Classroom and 6th Grade literacy lesson via Zoom.
Day 1 = SUCCESS
It was a wonderful day with students!!
Today is the first day of the new school year. Please be mindful of school buses on the road transporting our students to and from school. Please also remember morning bus stops will take longer because of the wellness screenings bus drivers will conduct at each stop.
Welcome back!
Just a few reminders for Day 1:
1. Cohort A students will attend face-to-face instruction on Mondays and Tuesdays.
2. Cohort B students will attend face-to-face instruction on Thursdays and Fridays.
3. Wednesdays are reserved for 100% remote learning. No one will be on campus, to allow for the appropriate COVID-19 sanitizing and disinfecting.
4. Car Riders should not arrive before 7:30am. Temperature checks will be conducted before students exit the vehicles. Masks are required.
5. Parents/Students - please take some time this afternoon to review your emails/Class Dojo messages/Google Classroom notes from teachers. This should help you with specifics regarding day one instruction.
6. Remember that masks are required for ALL students/staff to enter the building.
7. During week 1 (August 17-21) only PREK and KINDERGARTEN parents will be permitted to walk these students to class. Parents will have to submit to health screenings and must wear a mask to enter the building.
Please remember to stay up-to-date with the latest information by watching our MES Facebook and school website. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the school for more information.
We look forward to seeing our students tomorrow as we kick off another rewarding year at MES!

Just a Reminder:
MES will have Open House/Back to School on THURSDAY (August 13) from 10:00-12:00 and a second time from 4:00-6:00.
Because we must follow guidelines established by the Governor, we ask that you adhere to the following:
1. Maintain social distancing.
2. Face masks/coverings are required.
3. Due to the maximum number of guests allowed for gatherings, we ask that ONE parent/guardian (no children allowed at this time) come to pick up materials.
4. Because of the potential for summer thunderstorms we have set up stations in the MES gym, to aid in parent pick up of materials. You will enter through the double doors (at the car rider drop of location) and exit out of the single door on the same side of the gym that you entered.
5. Because of risk of transmission, we ask that you limit your time in the building. You will pick up materials and pay fees (if you choose) and then exit the building.
If you have any questions, please call the school at (910) 743-5191.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
